  • Renewed agreement strengthens Kia's ability to support European customers with premium service throughout the ownership journey

(Frankfurt am Main, Germany) 27 October, 2026 – Kia Europe and TotalEnergies have extended their partnership through 2031 with a five-year cooperation agreement. Kia has worked together with TotalEnergies, a global integrated energy company, since 2011 for the supply of high-quality lubricants to Kia customers in Europe.

Under the renewed agreement, Kia will recommend TotalEnergies lubricants to its customers and dealers in Europe. This ensures that Kia customers and dealers have access to highquality lubricants from a market-leading and reliable partner.

Kia and TotalEnergies marked the extension of the partnership with a signing ceremony at Kia’s European headquarters in Frankfurt. The event brought together Sjoerd Knipping, COO of Kia Europe, and Jean Parizot, Director, OEM & Central Sales, Automotive Business Unit at TotalEnergies Lubrifiants, highlighting the commitment of both companies to the ongoing collaboration.

“Extending our partnership with TotalEnergies marks an important step in reinforcing our European competitiveness and ensuring customer satisfaction for long-term vehicle usage,” said Sjoerd Knipping, COO of Kia Europe. “By working closely with TotalEnergies, we will continue to elevate service quality, enhance ownership experience, secure vehicle performance and deliver greater value and confidence to our customers across Europe.”

Since first establishing a global cooperation agreement in 2011, Kia and TotalEnergies have renewed their partnership every five years. The latest extension, running through 2031, reflects the shared commitment to deliver outstanding ownership experiences for Kia customers in Europe. Providing customers with high-quality and technologically advanced lubricants enables Kia vehicles to meet strict European regulations, while ensuring Kia meets its own standards regarding fuel consumption and vehicle longevity.

“Our renewed partnership with Kia is much more than a continuation of 15 years of successful collaboration—it is a shared commitment to shape the next chapter of mobility together. By combining Kia’s leadership in advanced vehicle technologies with TotalEnergies’ expertise in high-performance lubricants and fluids, we will empower Kia dealers, enhancing the ownership experience and bringing premium, future-ready solutions to more Kia customers across Europe,” said Jean Parizot, Director, OEM & Central Sales, Automotive Business Unit at TotalEnergies Lubrifiants.

Strengthening Kia’s service competitiveness
Kia’s partnership with TotalEnergies has underpinned a wide-ranging portfolio of joint projects and marketing initiatives developed over the last 15 years. These initiatives will continue under the extended agreement, building on proven programs that deliver benefits to customers and provide dealers with the best possible tools. This helps Kia’s European dealers to deliver highquality after-sales care, raise service standards and improve customer satisfaction. The two companies are also working on the new Recycled Oil Project that applies circularity to lubricants usage.
