Our ambition is to be a world-class player in the energy transition, and we believe that we’ll achieve this by truly investing in our people – because when you are at your best, so are we.

We provide individualised support to help you identify the training you need to build your skills, to empower you to succeed in your job, achieve your goals and get ahead in your career.

You will continue to learn and discover new things every day, expand your knowledge, develop and grow, becoming more experienced, confident, engaged and efficient so that you can rise to your professional and personal challenges.

A Talent Developer with you every step of the way

At TotalEnergies, you are unique, but you are never alone. Our employees have access to a dedicated talent developer, who actively supports you with a fresh perspective at each step of your career and helps you fulfil your potential. They work with you to review your aspirations, identify skills that need to be developed and look at the different tools for achieving your objectives.

It’s a relationship of trust; your talent developer knows you well and provides regular advice to put you on the right road, whilst taking into account your career desires and interests, such as requests for internal mobility.

Take charge with your training

You can freely choose up to three days of training each year without requiring approval from your manager, in areas that you feel are important for your development and give free rein to your ambition. These three days are in addition to the training necessary to perform your job and mandatory training such as in safety.

Our training catalogue offers nearly 6,000 training options, both in-person and virtual. They cover all technical, business and support fields, including management skills and personal development.

Explore new horizons – without leaving the Company!

Thanks to our global internal mobility programme, you can, like thousands of our employees each year, freely apply to change jobs – whether that be a new team, a new discipline or a new country. Our internal mobility platform gives all our employees a complete view of the open positions across the company, enabling them to seize job opportunities and choose their career paths. More than 10,000 jobs are posted each year.

On the road to transformation

TotalEnergies is undergoing a profound transformation to make the energy transition a reality. We’re building a multi-energy culture which gives meaning to your involvement in our projects that are focused on more energy, fewer emissions.

We are preparing our people of today for the sector we will operate in tomorrow. We’ve launched several programmes, ranging from a few weeks of training to more in-depth learning that combines classroom training and work-shadowing, so that employees experienced in managing oil and gas projects, for example, can transition to solar farm installation projects, and reservoir engineers can move into modelling for offshore wind.

Our large-scale training initiatives such as “Visa for TotalEnergies” are also helping to bring our employees along on this journey. In 2022, 30,000 employees from across the world took part in the Visa training programme which gave them the opportunity to learn about climate issues and our response, as well as what’s involved in a sustainable energy mix. In 2023, our programme covered the fundamentals of electricity and the electricity supply chain. In 2024, it’s focusing on the role of digital, data and AI in enabling our transformation.

Our Booster space in Aberdeen

Innovation’s about culture and mindset. It’s about challenging the way we do things, finding better ways of doing it and delivering more value than we did before.

The best way to innovate is to get people together, to share ideas, to learn from each other and to collaborate to build better solutions to the challenges we face.

That’s why we have the Booster, to get people together in either big teams or in smaller breakout spaces. The Booster is made up of several different zones. We’ve got the main space, we’ve got Lounge, Learn and Focus. Each of them has a different use and a different purpose and the space is fully flexible.

As Continuous Improvement Lead, I’m responsible for helping teams across the business deliver more value, more effectively.

I enjoy working in spaces like this because it gets me away from the desk, it gets me to meet a variety of people across the business to work on different topics and challenges and build better solutions to the things we’re experiencing within the company.
